So, I was browsing through one of my favorite sites, instructables.com. And I ran across this instructable that I thought maybe some of us could use. If you’re looking for a cheap, cost-effective way to take photos for your eBay listings or Amazon store, this might be the simplest method I’ve ever seen. Quick and simple, check out the link below.

Went out today and came across a SCREAMING deal on these little puppies. Scanned them in and saw that I’d make about 22 bucks each, so I bought them all!
Problem: I failed to check the merchandise sufficiently. There was no soap and filter kit in any of these…. which is what makes them valuable.. Someone was nice enough to put off brand soap in the spots where the filter and soap was supposed to be, which is why I didn’t catch it… But this essentially makes these things worthless. Thankfully, I only paid $4 each for them so I’m not out TOO much.
ALWAYS check and make sure the items you’re buying have everything included (or at least the valuable parts!).
I managed to find this AWESOME Bunny Sutra Swatch watch out at a thrift store for $6.75 today… It’s brand new. I almost always swing on Swatch watches, so I picked it up thinking no big deal..
Well, fast forward to tonight, while I’m comping and listing some of my items. I get to the Bunny Sutra watch and find out that somewhere in transit, I managed to rock this thing hard enough that the minute hand fell off.. :-/
But that’s not even the bad part…
Check out what these things go for!!

I’m sure you’ve had it happen if you’ve ever been contacted by a buyer or potential buyer on Amazon… They ask a simple question, you answer them, and they reply “Thanks”…
Well, I suppose you could email them back “You’re welcome” every time to avoid the dreaded “response time over 24 hours” thing that Amazon imposes on its sellers… Orrrrr.
You can just mark that little sucker at “No Response Needed” and carry on with business as usual without the ding.
So, where is this illusive little button that makes it so that you don’t need to respond to EVERY little email? Read More →
So, you got a refund request from someone and they sent you back your item.. Time to square up and give them their money back. But can you charge a restocking fee?
Actually, the quick answer to that is: Yes…. in some cases.
Amazon specifically states that you can charge up to 20% and in some cases 50% of the items cost as a restocking fee (source).
This would probably become most beneficial in the realm of media, where you can no longer sell something like a CD that has been opened as “new” and thus would take a hit. In that case, you can actually charge a 50% restocking fee, then, theoretically, sell the CD as “used” and recoup the remainder… Though, that’s not how it happens in real life most times..
But is charging a restocking fee always a good idea? Well, that’s on you, as the business owner, to answer for yourself! What do you think? Leave me a comment below and let me know what you think about charging restocking fees. 🙂

Oops… When you’re doing a larger volume of sales, sometimes transactions can get all screwy in your head and you don’t remember who is who and what is what.. Well, in the event you ever get confused enough to refund the wrong buyer (like, say you’ve been up for 34 hours and are trying to be productive… ehem…), here’s how you fix it!
First, when you issue a refund, Amazon holds it as “pending” for about 2 hours… give or take. Sometimes they’re quicker on it than others, so if you make the mistake, fix it quick. If you accidentally refunded the wrong person, you can cancel the refund so long as it’s in pending status by clicking the Read More →
Have you ever been packing up your packages from Amazon and thought to yourself “eek, I don’t want that price on the packing slip!”. There could be a variety of reasons that you wouldn’t want it on there. But likely, it’s so that the buyer isn’t reminded of how much they spent with you! haha. Either way, if you’re looking for a great way to print packing slips without the price on them, this Amazon Seller Tip is going to be quick and easy!

Everyone wants to sell more stuff, that’s just the facts. So, how do you sell more stuff on Amazon?
The simple answer is:
- List more stuff
Too simple, I know.. but it’s the facts! If you want to sell more, you have to list more. So, the first step is to list more items. That means sourcing more items. You can do that through a variety of channels including liquidations, wholesale, retail arbitrage, buy-outs, etc. The point is, find items that are in demand, and list them post haste! Read More →
